Buzz buzz, Jonathan Perleman, the GM of Video and VP of Agency Strategy of BuzzFeed, is coming in to EEG to share insights on how big companies effectively use social media to reach their target audience. Jonathan is responsible for business management and branded advertising on BuzzFeed video, as well as for leading partnerships with advertising agencies and brands for BuzzFeed. Beyond BuzzFeed, Jonathan advises several startups and is a member of several foreign policy international think tanks. He's also an investor in early stage tech and media companies as part of NextGen Angels NYC. This is going to be an engaging event packed with wisdom that you don't want to miss!

As the founder of two successful venture capital firms (Pequot Capital and FirstMark Capital) and of Norisol Ferrari--a blooming NYC fashion brand, Lenihan has seen and done it all. He's an investor in Pinterest and StubHub and now sits on the NYC Economic Development Fashion 2020 Advisory Board, the board of the NYC Venture Fellows Program, as well as the boards of well known startups like Doodle, SecondMarket and MyCityWay.

However, Venmo co-founder and 2005 University of Pennsylvania graduate Andrew Kortina defied this stereotype by creating Venmo, an app for exchanging money. Venmo has caught on in hundreds of college campuses across the country and is paving the way for the next generation of mobile payments.
Andrew will be joining EEG to discuss how being paired randomly with a roommate during his freshman year spurred his interest in entrepreneurship which eventually lead to the inculcation and execution of Venmo.
